Orson Earl Buhler, age 90, passed away January 25, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born January 26, 1902 in Midway, Utah to Gotfred and Eliza Barben Buhler. He married Florence Emma McAllister on March 4, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Orson was a member of the LDS Church. He was the first bishop of the Edison Ward, serving for 10 years. He was the high priest quorum president in the Pioneer Stake. He served in the temple for 15 years and was a guide at Welfare Square for several years. He retired from Amoco Oil after 30 years.

He is survived by six children; Robert E. (Phyllis) Buhler, Salt Lake City; Ray J. (Sally) Buhler, Jacksonville, Florida; Betty J. Pender, Salt Lake City; Joan B. (Urban) Child, Salt Lake City; Charlotte (Leon) Densley, Riverton; Bunny (Bill) Parry, Benion; 33 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie R. Hales, Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son Jay R. Buhler.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 1993 at 1 p.m. in the Edison Ward (1401 West 700 So.). Friends may call Thursday 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the ward. Internment Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Funeral directors: Russon Brothers Mortuary.
