Uncle Jay is still alive and living in Virginia. He will be 87 on September 25th. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is being taken care of by a wonderful couple and many thanks to Yolanda for posting the photos. Uncle Jay looks a lot like his father and my father, Wilbert, his oldest brother.
His parents operated a grocery store which included a gas station and post office at Pauls Cross Roads, Essex Co, VA, for many years.
