Mr. William Herbert Alexander and his sister Margaret Alexander Schildein replaced the tombstone because it had fallen over and cracked in the 1970's. Also buried in Oak Ridge cemetery plot is first wife, Mary Eveline Lacey Alexander, and little daughter Carrie who died of Croup at age 3. Carrie was born of the union of 2nd wife, Katherine B. Hill Alexander and William Alexander. William Alexander was the Father of 8 children.
