Bessie Harmon was born Jan 27, 1924 in Price, Utah the youngest daughter of Melvin Thomas and Sarah Ellen Horsley Harmon. She attended school in Price and LDS business College in Salt Lake City. She worked at the Continental Bank for many years. She married Kenneth Harold Jewett, February 15, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They lived in Elkins, New Hampshire and returned to Salt Lake City in 1949. In 1955 they moved to their new home in Bountiful Utah where she continued to live for 59 years. Kenneth died in 1978. She then married Leonard (Rich) Richardson in 1984. He died in 2008. At Christmas time she would make different kinds of candy, cookies and breads and give them away to friends and family. She loved to make quilts, which she gave to her family and others. She was the last of her brothers and sister, and died January 24, 2018 in Bountiful, Utah. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws, Melvin Guy & (Toni Ann), Harold Roy & (Julie Ann), grandchildren James Kirk & (Lacie Jo), Kenneth Guy & (Valerie) & Nicole & (Don Jordan) great grand children, Megan, Molly, Macey, Colby, Aubrey, Rebecca, Gaven and Hailey. A special thanks to Paul and Taisy Thompson for their continued friendship for more than 40 years, Preceeded in death are her husbands and parents and siblings. the Viewing was held at the Russon Mortuary, Tuesday January 30. 2018 from 6 to 8 P.M. Graveside services were held at 1:00 Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Bountiful cemetery.
