GOSHEN — Ruby J. Stotts 70, of 112 W. Purl St., died at 5:02 p.m. Friday (May 4, 2001} at Goshen General Hospital.
She was born in Protection, Kan., on June 18. 1930, the daughter of Elmer and Erma (Troyer) Zimmerman. She graduated Hesston (Kan.) High School in 1949 and moved to Goshen in 1956. She married William Q. Stotts on June 18, 1958, in Goshen. Mrs. Stotts is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Tim (Cheryl) Cripe and Mrs. Ben (Carla) Davis, both of Goshen: a son. David (Kelly) of Goshen; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Don (Elsie) Gunden of Myerstown, Pa., Norma Conrad of Rockfalls. Ill., and Mrs. Bill (Joanne) Day of Amarillo, Texas; and three brothers, Earl (Helen) Zimmerman of Huntington Beach. Calif., Alfred Zimmerman of Protection, Kan., and Myron (Louise) Zimmerman of Meridian, Idaho. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday. The body was cremated. Mrs. Stotts was a nurses aid and worked as a deputy assessor for Elkhart Township for more than 20 years. She was a member of Plymouth United Church of Christ. Memorials may be given to the church or the Arthritis Foundation.
