Rhoda May Goodrich(Roberts) was born to Eliza Ann Taggart and George Albert Goodrich.
Rhoda was lovingly called "Dode" by her family. Probably some of the little ones had a difficult time pronouncing their R's. Rhoda loved to play music, learning to play by ear and she loved to sing.
When Ephraim Horace Roberts moved his large family to Naples, Utah and opened a pottery business, his son Marion, when first seeing Rhoda at a dance where she was playing, vowed that this was the girl he was to marry.(He was engaged to another girl at the time). Rhoda married Marion Howard Roberts on November 1, 1894 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Roberts Pottery business became Roberts Hall in 1896, where they held weekly dances and Rhoda played the organ in the three-piece orchestra.
They had six sons: Marion Asa Roberts, Evan Eugene Roberts, Emil James Roberts, Howard LaVarr Roberts, Carlyle Reed Roberts, Stanley Dee Roberts.
Rhoda was a beautiful woman with large brown eyes, about five feet four inches tall, and slender. She was ambitious, keeping a cozy home and raising a fruitful garden for her growing family. She got sick around Christmas time and died January 1911.
