Charles S. Goodrich

Charles Sidney Goodrich was the sixth child born to Eliza Ann Taggart and George Albert Goodrich.

In 1885 his family had moved to Ashley Valley(Vernal) with three covered wagons and a bunch of cows and a pony. They were on the what was called the Merrill Ward. They built three log houses and one adobe. Charles father, George Albert filed on an eighty acre farm in the lower part of Ashley Valley.

Then George Albert got a job of running a grist mill for Lycurgus Johnson in Mill Ward and moved mother, Eliza and the family there. Soon after they moved, Charles Sidney died. There wasn't any doctor on the valley. He must of had appendicitis. He was thirteen years old. The funeral was in Merrill Ward and he was buried there.
