Bonnie Ballew Hamby, 87, of 1526 Highway 14, died Jan. 2, 1996, at National Health Care in Greer following a period of declining health.
A homemaker, she was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School
Class.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph L. Hamby; two daughters, Mrs. Wilton (Betty) Bagwell of Greenville, and Mrs. Glen (Joan) Thomas of Simpsonville; three sons, Ralph Lee Hamby Jr. of Greenville, William E. Hamby of Simpsonville and Jerry W. Hamby of Easley; two sisters, Maude B. Mahaffey of Fountain Inn and Ruth B. Brown of Simpsonville; five brothers, Dillard Ballew and Lewis Ballew, both of Simpsonville, Golden Ballew of Fountain Inn, Paul Ballew of Greenville, and Robert Ballew of Woodruff; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mausoleum Chapel of Graceland East Memorial Park.
Visitation: 2 to 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at the mausoleum Chapel. - Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
