Earl Farley

CASTLE DALE-Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and longtime friend, Earl Lewis Farley, 81, passed away May 31, 2018 in Price, Utah.

He was born November 11, 1936 in Provo, Utah to Forest Lewis and Annie Mecham Farley. Married the love of life, Clara Marlene Glazier, September 21, 1955 in the Manti Temple. They were married for 62 years and together they raised 8 children who stayed very close and all resided in Utah.

Earl was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held the office of a Seventy. He served in many callings, but his favorite was missionary work. He had many interests: he loved hunting, fishing and camping. Earl was a staunch supporter of the Castle Valley Pageant and was involved from the very beginning. He took great pleasure in his family and was widely known for his dancing prowess.

Earl was very theatrical and a great story teller. He loved dabbling in everything, from training horses, gold mining and passionate about mineralogy. Earl was a tireless worker who retired from the Iron Workers Union Local after 25 years of dedicated service. His years of labor have come to an end and he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Earl is survived by his children, Earlene (Ken) Christiansen, Emery UT., Balinda Bair, Gunnison UT., Danny Farley, Castle Dale, UT., Anita (Bret) Mills, Castle Dale, UT, Christy (Dean) Collard, Huntington UT., Helen Morgan, Huntington, UT, Kyle (Misty) Farley, Castle Dale, Doug (Danielle) Farley, Castle Dale, UT. Together Earl and Marlene had 39 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren, not counting the others they adopted. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Farley; his 9th child, Marshall Lewis Farley, parents, Forest and Annie Farley; grandson, Lance Boston Graham; and six siblings, Maybell, Blaine, Rex, Roy, Bert and Earl Farley.

Funeral service, Monday, June 4, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at the Castle Dale Stake Center. Family will receive friends at the church Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Castle Dale City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price
