* Graveside funeral services for Virginia Mae Simms, age 94, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Simms was a native of Madison County, Alabama and born to the late Roy and Bessie Taylor on April 20, 1923. She loved to grow roses and was of the Baptist faith. She was employed for many years at the Old Largen Hotel and managed the restaurant. She went on to retire from Amana. Mrs. Simms enjoyed living at Southern Manor for ten years and recently at Bailey Manor. Mrs. Simms passed away on July 21, 2017 at Bailey Manor.
There will be no visitation prior to services. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Virginia Mae Simms.
