She was the daughter of Grover and Bessie L. (Benson) Bennett and married Edna Pearl "Ted" Steele - 02 May 1933 - Madison Co., Alabama. Her obituary follows:


Rosie Lee Steele, age 81, a homemaker and resident of 966 Maple Bend Road, Winchester, died January 8 at Mountain View Nursing Home. She was the daughter of Grover and Bessie Lee Benson Bennett and was a member of Broadview Baptist Church. Mrs. Steele was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Steele, and a daughter, Betty Cowan. She is survived by three sons, Franklin Wayne Steele of Hillsboro, and Thomas Waldo Steele and Teddy Bennett Steele, both of Winchester; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 11, at 11 a.m. from the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. John Blevins officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
