Rosine “Rose” Evans, passed away on January 8, 2018 in Abilene, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene, Texas, under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.

Rose was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma on March 31, 1928 to James Leslie and Ollie Mae Gentry.

Rose was 1 of 9 children.

She married Ted Evans, Sr. in 1951 and they lived together in Abilene.

She was a realtor for a number of years.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, James Leslie Gentry and Ollie Mae Parris, son, Steve Evans, son, Ted Evans, Jr., and her 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her grandson, Ted Evans III and wife, Allicyn and 2 great-granddaughters, Ivy Rose Evans and Emmylou Evans.

Memorials may be given to the Erase Kid Cancer Fund at Cook Children’s Health Foundation, 801 7th Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.
