OBITUARY OF OLLIE MAE GENTRY ( Holdenville Daily News, May 21, 1962)
Services will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday at First Baptist Church for Mrs. Ollie Mae Gentry, 1022 South Creek, who died at the local hospital today. Rev. Riley Simpson will officiate with John Fite assisting. Burial will be in Holdenville cemetery under direction of Hudson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gentry was born April 29, 1887 in Centerville, Tn and had been in this area since 1906.

Active pallbearers will be Babe Meaders, John Sieber, Ernest Taylor, Dean Pugh, Claude Holt and Bud Roberts.Honorary bearers named were George Vanhooser, Emett Petete, Marvin Adair, Erd Schorn, Mont Williamson, John Smith, Harvey Lee Loftis, Bob Loftis, Roland Chadwick, Frank Smith, Loid Murrell and Joe Carson.

She is survived by her husband, J.L. Gentry; two sons, Elmer Gentry, Oklahoma City; Ed Gentry LaHabra, Calif; seven daughters; Mrs, Beaulah Terry, Holdenville; Mrs Lucille Carson, Olton, Tx., Mrs. Goldie Russell, Parker Ariz; Mrs Sylvia Wilson, Holdenville; Mrs. Martha Florence Smith, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Wilma Sanders, Tulsa, Okla. Mrs. Rose Evans, Abilene, Tx.; 31 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Milton Parris, Pomeroy, Washington; N.E. Parris, Holdenville; S.L. Parris, Denver, Colo.; four sisters; Mrs. Hattie Dowda, Yakima, Wash.; Mrs, Nettie Garrett, Pueblo, Colo.; Mrs. Millard Vanderhoof; Limon, Colo.; Mrs. Edna White, Boulder, Colo.
