E.J. was my 2nd Cousin through his Father, Joseph Edward Asay.
E.J. was the son of Joseph Edward Asay and Susan Sariah Johnson. He married a 1st cousin, Caroline Sophia Asay on June 11, 1928 in Grand Junction Colorado. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28, 1933. She preceded him in death on March 3, 1982. He later married Paea Falekalala Fiefia in February of 1983 in Farmington, Utah. E.J. was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He and Caroline served a mission to Porterdown, Ireland from 1963-1965. His word was as good as gold.
