Logan - Mrs. Edna Caroline Berrett Lyon, 79, of Logan and former resident of Weber County, died Friday evening in the Logan Hospital. She was born in North Ogden, June 1, 1895 a daughter of Richard T. and Annie Toone Berrett.
She was married Sept. 29, 1920 to George Albert Lyon in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 17, 1972. Throughout her lifetime she was active in the LDS Church as an organist and also active in the Relief Society.
Survivors include her three sons and four daughters: Sterling R. Lyon of Ogden; Gary Fred Lyon, Mesa, Ariz; Roland George Lyon, Huntington Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Anna Beth Rash, Smithfield; Mrs. Myra Perks, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Maxine Jones, Bountiful; Kathleen Johnson, Springville. Also among the survivors are 26 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one brother, Earl Ray Berrett of Bountiful.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday 12 noon in the Hall Mortuary Chapel in Logan. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral. Burial will be in the Smithfield Cemetery.
