MISHAP CLAIMS IDAHO FARMER
North Ogden Native Killed When Derrick Pole Falls

LINROSE, Idaho, Sept 29. - William H Berrett prominent farmer here, was killed instantly Wednesday when his skull was crushed by a falling derrick pole. The accident occurred at the ranch of Charles Sparrow, five miles southeast of Preston, and was witnessed by Sparrow, who was assisting Berrett.

He was born , April 6, 1884 at North Ogden, Utah a son of Richard T. and Annie Tonne Berrett. He was married on June 20, 1906 in Salt Lake City, to Charlotte Jeanette Gibson of Ogden. He was active in LDS church affairs and had been a member of the Linrose quorum of seventy.

Surviving are his widow; two sons and two daughters, Havor Berrett of Pocatello; Mrs. Janet Davis of Salt Lake City; and John R. and Marian Berrett of Linrose, andthe following brother and sisters: Mrs. Edna Lyons of Logan; Mrs. Emily A Baylock of Ogden; Orson P. Berrett of Roy, Utah; Earl R. Berrett of Salt Lake City
and Thomas F. Berrett of Ogden.

NORTH OGDEN, Sept. 30 - Funeral services for Walter H. Berrett who was killed Wednesday in a hay derrick accident at Linrose, Idaho, will be held in the North Ogden L.D.S. ward chapel Sunday at two p.m. with Bishop D. Ariel Nash of the Linrose ward conducting.
Friends may view the boy at the home of Mr. Berrett's relatives in North Ogden Saturday and Sunday until time of services. Hendricks mortuary of Preston has charge of arrangements.
