Mrs. Frances Hollifield Brackett, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2003, at Century Care of Cherryville.
Born in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Sewell and Bessie Boone Hollifield.
She retired from Fasco Industries and was a faithful member of Ross Grove Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always putting their needs first.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Bynum, Edgar, Woodrow, Harvey and Elzie Hollifield; and a sister, Alma Stamey.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, one son, two daughters, two brothers, nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
