Evelyn A. Clemetson, age 86, of Ridgeland, Wis., died Monday, January 29, 2007, at Barron Medical Center. She was born September 11, 1920, to Henry and Pauline (Peterson) Christopherson. She attended the Blairmoore School. She then did housework for area neighbors until she married Harold Clemetson on September 22, 1937. They farmed on the family farm until retiring and moving to their current home in Ridgeland. Evelyn loved Pine Creek Lutheran Church and her church family. She taught Sunday school, was very active in ladies aid and circle, holding several officer jobs over the years. She also enjoyed making quilts and rag rugs as long as she was able. She will be missed by her family, friends, church and neighbors.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William; sisters, Hazel Christopherson, Joyce Christopherson and Hilda Knutson; son-in-law, Walter Peterson; and grandchildren, Gregory Peterson and Julie Peterson.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Harold; a son, Kirby (Kim) Clemetson of Ridgeland; daughters, Joan Peterson of Wheeler, Cleo (Lowell) Weber of Ridgeland and Paula (David) Hovre of Colfax; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Pearl (Jalmer) Pederstuen, Vivian Lundequam, Nina (Elwood) Donaldson, Muriel Delap, Ethel Lien, Mary Lou Puls and Betty Malcom; brothers, Gordon Christopherson and Richard (Ruby) Christopherson; sister-in-law, Norma Christopherson; as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, at New Hope-Pine Creek Lutheran Church, rural Ridgeland, with the Rev. Barbara Koch officiating, and interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas, and also for the hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
