Richard Henry Christopherson, 74 of Ridgeland died Monday, March 25, 2013 at his home. He was born October 28, 1938 in Ridgeland, Wisconsin the son of Henry and Pauline (Peterson) Christopherson. He grew up in Ridgeland and graduated from Prairie Farm High School. Richard moved to Minneapolis and worked for Alumacraft Boat Company. On August 15, 1964 he married Ruby Sonsteng at Watertown, South Dakota. Richard went to work for the City of Minneapolis and worked there twenty years, retiring in 1986. Richard and Ruby moved back to Ridgeland in 1991.

He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He loved to feed the fox outside of his house. Richard was a member at New Hope Pine Creek Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his daughter Barbara Tyler of Oakdale, MN; sons Stuart (Debra) Palm of Ridgeland, WI; Jeff Christopherson of White Bear Lake, MN; Jon (Melissa) Christopherson of Burnsville, MN; 5 grandchildren Shawn, Jessica, Tim, Jake, Luke and 6 great-grandchildren Joe, Evelyn, Madison, Jude, Makenzie, Maria; sisters Nina Donaldson of Sand Creek, WI; Betty Lundequam of Blue Earth, MN; Evelyn Lundequam of Prairie Farm, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruby, 1 daughter Brenda,1 brother, 8 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at New Hope Pine Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Barb Koch officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Pine Creek Lutheran Cemetery in Wilson Township, Dunn County at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
