"Leon Addison Abbott, 83, of Sennett, died Monday in the Cayuga County Infirmary after a long illness.
He was born in Otisco, where he owned and operated a farm for 65 years. When he retired he lived in the Fairmount and Nedrow areas. He moved to Florida in 1960 and returned to Sennett last year.
He was a member of the Sennett Federated Church, the Otisco Grange and a former member of Old Otisco Band.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. Ruth Abbott of Sennett and Mrs. Viola Covert, Palm Harbor, Fla., and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Norris Funeral Home, Marcellus, with the Rev. Roy H. Massecar of the Sennett Federated Church officiating.
Burial will be in Case (Maple Grove) Cemetery, Otisco.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home."
