He served his country for two years during the First World War-joining the service at Plentywood, Mont. where he had been working at the time. He was a member of the American Legion Post 146.
On October 27, 1920 the bells of our Little Cedar Church rang for Harry when he married Martha Caroline from Ambrose, ND.
Harry was a warm and loving man. He loved all people. He was a good husband and father. Out of the union of Harry and Martha were born two sons. Bernie of Rockford, ILL. and Archie of Racine, Wisconsin. Harry was bestowed three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Also left to survive are two brother, Oscar of Adams and Chris of West Concord and one sister Gina of Seatle, Washington. Plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Military funeral services under the charge of Adams Post 146 American Legion were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday Nov. 15, 1973 at Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Adams. Rev. Wayne Quibell officiating. Internment was at Little Cedar Cemetery with Worlein Funeral Home in charge of arrangments.
Casketbearers were Harry Finkelson, William Finkelson, Martin Thompson, George Jacobson, Edgar Engen. Honerary casketbearers were John Lewison, Bernard Hukke, Goodwin Anderson, Marvin Person, Elmer Lee, Francis Bradish, Raymond Finkelson.
Out-of-town persons came from Ambrose and Crosby ND. Charles City, Iowa, Capron, ILL, Pelican Rapids, MN, Montrose, MN, St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN
