Margaret "Maggie" E. Hagin, born May 1879, died Unknown (at this time). She is the daughter of SOLOMON HAGEN & NANCY RIMES (Source: Patricia Hood Hunter, a direct descendant). On 07 MAR 1894 she married Silas Everett Bowen, a farmer, this was her 1st and only marriage and this was his 2nd marriage. There were no children from his 1st marriage to Mary A. Rimes (her dates of birth & death are unknown at this time, also her place of burial is unknown also, still searching). Margaret was called "Maggie" by all her contemporaries. Although Maggie and her husband's grave markers have never been found, her husband's Certificate of Death lists his burial cemetery as TRINITY CEMETERY, BULLOCH COUNTY, GEORGIA. For this reason his and her memorial records have been established using this cemetery as their burial cemetery. IT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE, IN THE OPINION OF THIS WRITER, FOR HER AND HER HUSBAND'S DIRECT DESCENDANTS TO ERECT A FITTING STONE MEMORIAL MARKER WITH THEIR NAMES, DATES OF BIRTH & DEATH FOR THE BENEFIT OF FUTURE GENERATIONS. Together, they had ten (10) known children which were raised to maturity. Maggie and her husband, Silas Everett Bowen, lived, and raised a large family of at least ten (10) known children on the farm located in the Sinkhole District of Bulloch County, Georgia. There may be several children other than the following listed in birth order below:

1. Solomon Lee Bowen, b. 19 JAN 1895, d. 22 MAR 1918. He married Mamie Elizabeth Wilson, b. 24 JUL 1895, d. 19 NOV 1948. Both are interred in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery, Athens, Clark County, Georgia.

2. Perry Everett Bowen, b. 03 OCT 1896, d. 13 FEB 1964. Married Alise Florence Tucker, b. 02 OCT 1909, d. 01 OCT 1927. Both are interred at Lower Lotts Creek Church Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.

3. Ann Jane "Jannie" Bowen, b. 31 DEC 1902, d. 27 JUL 1978. Married Mr. Paul (given names unknown at this time, still searching) of Savannah, Georgia. She is interred in Greenwich Cemetery, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.

4. Maxie Mae Bowen, b. 20 NOV 1904, d. 10 JAN 1981. She Married Jesse Oliver Hood, b. 05 NOV 1902, d. 05 JAN 1981. Both are interred at Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Bulloch County, Georgia.

5. Ruby Lee "Lindy" Bowen, b. 12 APR 1907, d. 19 OCT 1976. She married Lonnie A. Ray, b. 30 MAY 1893, d. 28 MAY 1940. Both are interred at Eastside Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.

6. John Walter Bowen, b. 02 SEP 1909, d. 19 MAR 1991. He married Debbie Deal, b. 29 APR 1906, d. 07 SEP 1997. Both are interred at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.

7. Silas Homer Bowen, b. 22 JUN 1911, d. 05 FEB 1988. He married Corene Kerby, b. 29 OCT 1915, d. 12 JAN 2013. Both are interred at Eastside Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.

8. Charles Edward Bowen, b. 11 NOV 1914, d. 26 JAN 1972. Interred at Eastside Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.

9. Barney McKoy Bowen, b 08 JAN 1917, d. 18 MAR 1968. Interred at Eastside Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.

10. Eva Bowen, b. 10 MaY 1921, d. 22 JUL 1989. Eva Married Inman Edward Brown, b. 06 MAR 1914, d. 10 OCT 1994. Both are interred at Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, Georgia.
