Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jack McCarty of Statesboro and Mrs J. M. Fountain of Pembroke; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mildred Boyd of Statesboro; four sons, James Edward Ray of Fayetteville, N.C., Harold Ray of Melbourne, Fla, Wilbur Ray of Temple, Tex., and Gene Ray of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Hood of Statesboro, Mrs. Janie Paul of Garden City and Mrs. Eva Brown of Claxton; two brothers, John and Homer Bowen, both of Statesboro; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Barnes' Funeral Home in Statesboro, with burial in Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro.
