Harry William Brower, 85 of Wellsville, died at 6:12 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 1987 at Gamma Road Lodge, where he had been a resident since December 12, 1987.
Graveside services were held Sunday at the Wellsville City Cemetery. The Revs. Richard Baber and George Prior officiated. Pallbearers were Cecil Alberts, Paul Brower, H.P. Fry, Jim Fry, John Fry and Jack Zuroweste.
Mr. Brower was born August 30, 1902, in Shell City, Mo, a son of Emery M. and Permelia Jane Clement Brower. He was married in Audrain County on January 7, 1922, to Ruth McManamy, who died November 7, 1981.
He was also preceded in death by three sons: Joel M. Brower, Samuel T. Brower and Harry W. Brower, Jr; one daughter, Gertrude Brower, a brother; and two sisters.
Surviving are five sons: Paul H. Brower and John D. Brower, both of Mexico; Bobby Gene Brower of McQueeney, Texas; Jesse A. Brower of Noblesville, Ind; and Phillip J. Brower of Katheys Valley, Calif; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie Fry of New Florence; and two brothers, Lonnie O. Brower of Mexico and Charlie Brower of Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. Brower was a retired minister of the Fire-Baptized Holiness Church.
