Jack Acord, 83, of Cyclone, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his home. He was born on February 25, 1933 in Bolt, WV a son of the late Lacy James Acord (1894-1952) and Flossie Mae Acord-Acord (1899-1980).
Jack was saved and baptized in April of 2013 and attended the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church and worked for Robinson Phillips Coal Company for over 29 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, coon hunting, camping, and playing and listening to Bluegrass music.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Harless Acord (1916-1970), Robert Denzil Acord (1918-1963), Glen Acord (1921-1993), Roger Acord (1921-1987), Johnnie Calvin Acord (1927-2007), & Woolsey James Acord (1930-2003).
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years whom he married on December 22, 1962 a daughter, a son, two grandchildren, a great grandchild born May 7, 2016 a brother ; a sister-in-law India, special cousin and friend, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Stephen Walls and Rev. Merle Walls officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
