Phyllys "Fuzzy" Rae (Bacon) Parkins, 88, passed away peacefully at Franklin General Hospital, with family by her side on May 16, 2016, in Hampton, Iowa.
"Fuzzy", as she was known by friends and family, was born on August 26, 1927, in Kingston Township, to Edythe and George Bacon. She married Warren Parkins Feb. 19, 1972 in Sycamore, IL.
Fuzzy worked at Duplex Products for many years and after retirement she loved and cared for other people's children. She was lovingly known as Grandma and Mom to many people. She enjoyed outings with friends and family. She loved camping, fishing, playing cards and a round of golf including making a hole in one at Sycamore Golf Course.
She is survived by her children, Mary Camillo, Linda (John) Mohr, Allen (Judy) Bryant, George Bryant, Bonnie Underwood, Richard (Shelley) Bryant, Sue (Tom) Herst and stepdaughter, Brenda Nehles; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Georgia Jones, Violet Ramey, and Jean Cornell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Parkins; her parents; 7 brothers, Ronald, Bernard, Russell, Paul, Elmer, Wilmer and Walter;, 4 sisters, Nellie Smith, Donna Grimm, Mary Ellen Bacon and a baby sister(stillborn); and son-in-law, Tulio Camillo.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Quiram Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St. Sycamore with Rev. Jackie Wills officiating.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Graveside service to be held at a later date.
