BELTON --- Katie Bea Walker Hess Raabe, 86, of Salado died Wednesday, September 6 2006.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Billy Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Salado Cemetery.
Mrs. Raabe was born in Salado to Ed Lee Walker and Wiley Louise White Walker. She married Harry Hess on June 18, 1937, in Bell County. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1979. Katie married Arnold Raabe on Sept 6, 1996, in Armstrong Community Center, Salado, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton.
A daughter, Frances Louise Hess Luther also preceded her in death.
Survivors are her husband Arnold of Moody; two daughters, Harriett Juergens of Belton and Kathy Newsome of Waco; a stepson, James Raabe of Moody; a stepdaughter, Anne Speck of Moody; six brothers, Roy Walker of Colorado, Ed "Buster" Walker of Altair TX, Tommy Walker of Gonzales, TX, Robert Walker of Salado, TX, Jesse Walker of Belton, TX, and Claude Hess of Academy, TX; four sisters, Clara Blair of Temple,TX, Faye Copeland and Cewilla Wolff, both of Belton, TX, and Dorothy Smith of Salado, TX.; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
