The Orillia Newsletter, Jan 23, 1924- THE LATE MISS BEGG- After an illness of several months Miss Christina Begg, eldest daughter of Mrs. Begg and the late Alexander Begg, passed away on Friday morning {making that the 18th of January} at the family residence on Neywash street. With her at the time of her death was her mother, her sister, Mrs. Travers, of New York, who has been here since Christmas pending the result of her sister’s illness, and her brother Alexander, also of New York. The funeral took place on Saturday to St. Andrew’s cemetery, Rev. N.H. McGillivray officiating. Mrs. Begg accompanied her son and daughter back to New York on Monday. In this second bereavement within a year Mrs. Begg will have the heartfelt sympathy of her many friends in Orillia and elsewhere.
