Early Life: Clyde was born November 11, 1936, in Lehi, Utah, to William Henry and Elizabeth Pearl Elton Cook. He was the youngest of nine; three brothers and six sisters. He graduated from Lehi High School in 1955.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: He married his lifelong sweetheart, Carolyn LaVaun Edwards, in Tooele, Utah, on November 23, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in The Salt Lake Temple. To this union, Clyde and Carolyn were blessed with five daughters. He joined the Utah National Guard and served with the 1457th Engineer Battalion until January 1959. He worked for United Airlines for 34 years as a Customer Service Agent. Clyde was known for his hard work ethic; whether it was cutting cedar posts, Christmas trees, gardening or working on the family farm and later their own farms in the Bear Lake Valley where they made lifelong friends and spent most of their latter years. Clyde and Carolyn's favorite vacationing spot was Hawaii. One of the favorite family memories was hunting at Four Mile Flat. Clyde Henry Cook passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at home surrounded by his family.
Survived By: His wife, Carolyn; sister, Vivian DuBois; daughters: Desiree (Kirk) Lee, DeAnn (Gary) Adams, RuthAnn (Gaylon) Powell, Linda Cook, and Clydene (Doug) May Jr.; eight grandchildren: Colby (Hollie) Bryant, Nicole Bryant, Erica (Jared) Robinson, Wil (Katie) Adams, Braxton Powell, Zachary Duvall, Alex May, and Dylan May; and six great-grandchildren: Edie, Ani, Malik, Miles Robinson, and Boston and Navy Rae Bryant.
Preceded In Death By: His parents; three brothers: Ernest, John and Art; and five sisters: LaVern, Thelma, Nettie, Leona and Ruth.
