Katharina Brenning, whose maiden name was Kilthau, was born Aug. 25, 1847 at Nooke, Russia.
On the 6th of January 1868 she was married to John Brenning, who now mourns her passing.
Fourteen children were born to their union of whom nine preceded their mother in death.
They came to the United States in 1895 and lived at McCook, Nebr. Following an extended illness and intense suffering, Mrs. Brenning passed away Sunday, the 2nd of February 1919 at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 8 days.
She is survived by her greatly bereaved husband, 5 children, 41 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
