Brenning Family Tree

Jacob Brenning, son of John Brenning and Katherine Kilthau was born July 12, 1885 at Kutter, Russia. In earliest childhood he was baptized. When he was 12 years of age he came with his parents to the U.S., making his home at McCook, Nebr. At McCook he was confirmed.

In 1904 he was married to Miss Elisabeth Miller at Portland, Ore., and the young couple made their home at McCook where they spent their entire married life. Their home was blessed with eleven children of whom two have preceded their father in death. Mr. Brenning has suffered ill health for a long time. On the 3rd of July he was hospitalized and he passed away there on the 8th of July 1951 at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 26 days.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Brenning of McCook; 6 sons, Jacob and Ralph of Denver, Lawrence in the Military Service, Henry, Walter and Clarence in McCook; 3 daughters, Mrs. Harry Trupp of Denver, Mrs. William Groszkopf of McCook, and Rachel Brenning of McCook; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Conrad Brenning of Longmont, Colo., besides many more distant relative and friends.
