Bessie Erps
Funeral services for Bessie M. Erps, 95 will be held at 1 p. m. friday in the Woolsey Funeral Home at Pekin.
Burial will be in the Park Lawn Cemetery at Danvers.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Erps of 713 N. Capital, Pekin, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 1984, in the Pekin Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 21, 1889, in Washington County Ky., she was a daughter of Jake and Mollie Corn Simpson. She married Alfred Erps Dec. 7, 1907, at Lincoln. He died July 1, 1972, at Pekin.
Surviving are 11 sons, John of Houston, Texas, Robert, Raymond and Donald, all of Pekin, Cecil of Lexington, Clifford of Petersburg, James of Hackensack, Minn., Clarence, Edmond of West Side, Iowa, Howard of South Pekin and Kenneth of Chicago; threee daughters, Miss Mary Erps of Pekin, Mrs. Ted (Doris) Takeda of Elks Grove and Mrs. James (Betty) Scott of Pekin.
Surviving also are 32 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Ben of Monica and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Jones of Pekin.
Three sons, one daughter, and nine brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Erps was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pekin.
