Pekin, IL - Howard Junior Erps, 91, of Pekin passed away at 7:27 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at his home.
He was born March 24, 1931 in Danvers to Alfred and Bessie (Simpson) Erps; he married Alice Giacomo. They later divorced. He then married Janice Shroyer; they divorced.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 13 brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are eight children, Cynthia (George) Carter of Pekin, Richard (Tammy) Erps of Streator, Rodney Erps of Goodfield, Brenda McFarden of Creve Coeur, Mark (Amber) Erps of Phoenix, Arizona, and Charlotte Horve of Springfield and two stepchildren, Diana (Larry) Woodside of Pickneyville and Melba Flowers of Arab, Alabama;21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Howard was a veteran of the United States Army.
He worked for 15 years at Bordens Dairy in Pekin and then he worked for Pekin Hardwood Sawmill for 11 years, retiring in 1994.
Howard enjoyed woodworking, going for car rides and spending time with his family.
