JOSEPHINE ANDERSON DIES
Funeral Services Wednesday For Murphysboro Resident
Mrs. Josephine Anderson, 72, died at her home on South 5th Street in Murphysboro Monday.
She was born in 1881, and had lived most of her life in Jackson County.
Mrs. Anderson leaves four sons, Henry of Murphysboro, Wesley of rural route 2, Murphysboro, Sam of rural route 1, Gorham. and Charlie of rural route 2, Ava, four daughters, Nora Benson of St. Louis, and Goldie Ticer, Blanche Popejoy and Alice Sauerhage, all of Murphysboro, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The husband preceded her in death about two years ago.
Friends may call at the Roberts Residence Funeral Home in Murphysboro until 12:30 p. m. Wednesday, when the body will be removed to the Bartlett Cemetery near Ava for graveside rites at 2 p. m., the Rev. Marion Barringer officiating.
Burial will be in the Bartlett Cemetery.
