Gertrude was one of fourteen children born to Edward and Carrie Clark Middleton in Bradenton, Florida. She was a teacher in the Bradenton School system until her death, active in various organizations including a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Inc.
Aunt Gert was a faithful member, Steward, Sunday school teacher at Wards Temple A.M.E. Church. She loved her family and refused no one. She was a loving mother, devoted daughter, sister and a caring person.
She leaves to mourn her lost: her husband, five children, siblings and a host of relatives and friends.
