Rosamond E. (LaBrack) Caissy, 90, of Leominster, formerly of South Ashburnham and Gardner, died peacefully Thursday morning October 3, 2013 in Heywood Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Rosamond was born in Ashburnham, April 12, 1923 daughter of the late Louis A. and Lena (Withington) LaBrack, and has lived in the area all her life. Her beloved husband Genereux "Gerry" Caissy died in 1997.

Rosamond is a graduate of Fitchburg High School. She was a long time member of the People's Church of South Ashburnham. She was always very active for the church, serving as a Deaconess, on the Parsonage Committee, as a ladies aid for the church, and working the church suppers. In her spare time Rosamond would sew for people locally as a hobby. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, loving mother and dear friend.

Rosamond will be sadly missed by her three children, Rebecca A. Bisbee of Parrish, FL, Nancy A.M. Godin of Barre, and David L. Caissy of Dedham, one brother; Calvin LaBrack of Lilburn, GA, three sisters; Althea Shea of South Ashburnham, Betty Ann How of Midland, MI, and Alta Sibiga of Wallingford, CT, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Rosamond's life by gathering for her calling hours in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner, on Monday October 7, 2013 from 2-4PM. Her funeral will follow in the funeral home beginning at 4 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
