Avis W. Frank, 94, of Kouts, Ind., and formerly of White Pigeon, Mich., died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1921, in Verona, Wis., the daughter of William and Athol (Cross) Brassington.
She lived in Wisconsin, South Bend, Ind., and White Pigeon most of her life and in Kouts since 2004.
She was a graduate of West High School in Madison, Wis., attended cosmetology school and was employed at Sturgis Hospital for 25 years as a nursing assistant, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in White Pigeon and enjoyed gardening and yard work.
On July 1, 1944 she married J. Richard Frank in South Bend, Ind. He died March 1, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Richard L. Frank; brothers, William, Merle, Francis, Lloyd and Lynn; and sisters, Arlowene, Gladys and Eileen.
Note: Avis' birth record states she was born in Middleton Twp., Dane Co., WI - which borders Verona. Possibly lived in Middleton Twp and had a Verona mailing address?
