Charles Askren was the son of Warren and Elizabeth Ballard Askren. The husband of Ida Kintner Askren. Father of John, Arch, Smith, Zelma, Dan, Gladys & Minnie Askren. After Ida died in 1922 he later remarried to Elsie Haskins. They had no children. He had diabetes and after having one of his legs amputated he developed gangrene which caused his death. His siblings were William, Mary, Joseph, Ashabel, Rovilla, Daniel, John and Nancy.
