On June 21, 1930, he was married to Nora Blough, who died on June 17, 1985. Surviving are one son (David), 3 daughters (Ruth, Martha Bowman, and Lois August), 6 grandchildren, and 3 sisters (Nellie Cable, Linnie Croyle, and Annie Shetler). He was a member of Kaufman Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on May 14, in charge of Stanley R. Freed; interment in Kaufman Cemetery.
