Mrs. A. R. McDonald Deceased
Mrs. Alex McDonald died at their home southwest of town Tuesday night after an illness of several months, and interment made today, Thursday in the Miller cemetery. She leaves beside her husband, several children and grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Probably not another couple in these parts has had more warm personal friends outside the family than have Mr. and Mrs. McDonald.

Obituary
Susannah Wiltfong, youngest daughter of Elijah and Elizabeth Wiltfong was born Feb. 10, 1850 in LaPorte County, Indiana. At the age of ten years she was left an orphan by her mother. With her family in 1863 she crossed the plains to Oregon, first settling in the eastern part of the state and afterwards coming to the Willamette Valley. On July 4, 1866 she was married at Scio to Alexander McDonald. To this union were born twelve children, nine of whom are living, as follows: Mrs. G. A. Mason, Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Will Hutchens, McMinnville, Mrs. J. N. Long, Scio, Mrs. E. B. Fletcher, McMinnville, Mrs. E. E. Munsey, Lebanon, Frank of Mehama, Mrs. W. E. Evans, Lebanon, and Roy and Ralph of Scio.
After her marriage they moved three miles east of Scio where the children were all born. In this vicinity the remainder of her life was spent with the exception of seven years spent at Philomath, Benton county. She also leaves two sisters and two brothers, 33 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Early in life, Mrs. McDonald united with the Baptist Church, ever living a faithful Christian life. Besides many relatives and friends she leaves an aged husband, they have celebrated their Golden Wedding one year ago last July, all the children being present at that time.
