Scio Pioneer Passes
Mrs. Lillian Mason, sister of Mrs. J. N. Long and niece of Mrs. W. A. Ewing of Scio, died at the Linn Anna Heath Home Friday and burial was in Miller Cemetery near Shelburn. Mrs. Mason was the daughter of A.R. McDonald and was born near Scio and spent most of her 59 years in Linn County, although she lived for a time in Canada and also in Puget Sound in Washington. In addition to Mrs. Long of Scio, the following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Madge Huchins, McMinnville, Mrs. Anna Fletcher, Hebo, Mrs. Alice Munsey, Albany, Frank McDonald, Redmond, Roy McDonald, Newport and Ralph McDonald, Scio.
Her second marriage was to George A. Mason. She is buried in an unmarked grave next to Jefferson Lee McDonald.
