Born in Monroe County on Oct. 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joe Cephas and Omie (Fox) Adams and the widow of Benjamin Hicks.
She is survived by one daughter Scarlett Lane, Tompkinsville; two brothers, Levy and Jesse Adams, both of Tompkinsville; and five sisters-Flossie Summers, Dealie Hale, and Ruie Adams all of Tompkinsville; Lemie Webb of Arcadia, Ind; and Clorene Sheffield of Gamaliel.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were, a brother Clyde Adams, a sister Ruby Adams and a half sister Leona Adams Creasy.
Funeral services were held at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday afternoon, November 29, with Bro. Evans Leamon officiating. Burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
