Clorene Adams Sheffield, 82, of Temple Hill, formerly of Monroe County went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the NHC Health Care in Glasgow after a brief illness.
She was born May 6, 1931 in Tompkinsville, KY, [photo] the daughter of Joe Cephas and Omie Fox Adams. She was saved October 22, 1949 and joined Athens Missionary Baptist Church in Tompkinsville. She later moved her membership to Dover Missionary Baptist Church at Etoile, KY where she has been a faithful member for 8 years. She helped her husband farm and raised their family of four daughters before she started public work for 23 years. She then worked in garment factories for 15 years before retiring.
