Henry Ouzts, Sr. is the third child and Patriarch of the Henry Line of the family of Elizabeth HARLING and George Peter Utz (now Ouzts) of Hoffenheim Germany and the Edgefield District SC.

Henry Ouzts, Sr. married Nancy FARRINGTON, daughter of Sarah Isabel PERKINS and Absolom Farrington of North Carolina, in 1813 in Abbeville County SC. They had eight children: John Henry, Ibbie, Elizabeth (Lizzie), Peter, Franklin M. (Frank), Sarah (Sallie), Margaret Henrietta, and Henry, Jr.
