Levi Gleason, an aged citizen, father of Albert H. Gleason, Mrs. A. W. Leonardson and Mrs. E. L. Chapman, of this city, died at the home of the latter on Grand Avenue, last night at 8:30 o'clock, of paralysis.
The deceased was born at Warrensville, Ohio, July 29, 1826. He was married to Sarah A Fouts, January 17, 1858. He has resided a portion of his life in Michigan and moved from there to this valley two years ago.
All that could be done for him was done by his sorrowing wife, daughters and son, and the family is deeply striken over the visitation of death.
Beside the children residing here, a daughter, Mrs. A. S. Exter, resides at Salida.
The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Boggess, were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The remains will be shipped this evening to Maryland. Michigan.
