Mrs. A. S. Exter, formerly well known and popular among a large number of friends in Salida, but of late years residing in Gunnison, died at an early hour this morning at the Rio Grande hospital Mrs. Exter was in a precarious condition when brought to Salida last Thursday and while an operation was necessary for her relief she was not considered able to undergo same until yesterday. However, it was unavailing and her death was not unexpected. To mourn her loss Mrs. Exter leaves her husband and three sons. Mr. Exter is superintendent of the third division of the Rio Grande.
