Services will be held Thursday for Aurora Anne Ingersoll, who passed away March 13, 2000, in Fortuna at the age of 75 . She was a resident of Fortuna.
A lifelong resident of California and Humboldt County, Mrs. Ingersoll was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Ferndale. She was the loving daughter of Joaquin and Maria Martin.
Mrs. Ingersoll worked as a Home Care Provider for over 15 years. She met and married her husband Donald in 1943, they moved to Scotia in 1947, where they raised their five children. After her husband retired, they moved back to Fortuna. In her last years, she really enjoyed playing bingo with her family and her good friend, Shirley. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Ingersoll was very involved with her s ewing circle, Carlotta Dance Club, and truly enjoyed her many CB'ers. She also enjoyed being outdoors. While living in Scotia she won numerous awards for he r beautiful yard. She is survived by her children, Jerald Ingersoll and his wife, Marjorie of Medford, Ore., Gloria Fredericks of Carlotta, Barbara Egbert and her husband, Paul of McKinleyville, Donna Parsells and her husband, Russ of Fortuna, and Helen Millay of Quincy; sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Don Chism of Fortuna, and sister-in-law Ann Ingersoll of Eureka. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Ingersoll in 1982, her mother and father, Joaquin and Maria Martin; her brother Jack Martin; her sisters, Mary Oliveria(sic), Olivia Baird-Smith and Ruby Rasella.
Friends are invited to attend services, Thursday, March 16, 2000, at 10 A.M. at Goble's Chapel, Fortuna, with Deacon Thomas Silva officiating.
Concluding services and interment will be at St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery, Eureka. Casketbearers will be Rick Egbert, Lonnie Parsells, Dennis Chism, Colin Millay, David Chism and George Holland.
Arrangements are under the direction of Goble's Chapel, Fortuna, where friends may call Wednesday, March 15, 2000 from 7 to 8 P.M.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Hospital Foundation Heart Institute, 2700 Dolbeer Street, Eureka 95501
