Son of Jacob and Kathryn (Neaf) HAFEN.~SKULL FRACTURE PROVES FATAL

Mount Pleasant Cattleman Victim of Accident

MOUNT PLEASANT, November 13 -- Wilford HAFEN, 39, prominent young farmer and cattleman of this place, died at 4:00 o'clock this afternoon from injuries sustained Friday afternoon while rounding up stock in the fields west of town. It is believed that HAFEN was thrown from his horse and dragged considerable distance when his foot caught in the stirrup.

He was unconscious when neighbors found him lying in the field. Examination by a physician disclosed, among other injuries, a fracture at the skull base. He died today without regaining consciousness. Surviving him are the widow and three sons.
