She leaves a mother, husband, five children, three sisters, two brothers (Charles & Andrew) and other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her departure.

She had been sick a number of months and died ten minutes after 10pm Monday, Oct 23rd, 1899. She was laid to rest, in Riverview Cemetery Thursday, Oct. 26.

This, her last writing, written Monday morning (Oct 23, 1899):
Dear Friends: I leave this world of sickness and sorrow to go to a better home. I leave my nice home, a loving husband and five children, but I shall look for them on the golden shore. I did not know, I had so many friends as I had. They seem so good and kind to me. So, loving friends I am thankful to you..

Meet me in a better land.
