MRS. CHARLES A. OTHBERG
Ruby Anderson, daughter of Ida and Alfred Anderson was born at
Scandia, Kansas, November 7, 1886, and passed away at Fort Collins, Colorado, July 21, 1966, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 12 days.
She was married to Charles A. Othberg December 29, 1909, and to this union one son, Richard was born. She was a member of the Methodist church of Scandia, and after moving to Colorado her membership was transferred to the Methodist church in Ft Collins, where she took an active part in church activities.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, Charles, one son, Richard and his wife, Jean of Phoenix, Arizona, one sister, Mrs. Edna Muth, and one brother, Ed Anderson, both of Scandia, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Her parents, one brother, Charles Anderson, and one sister, Mrs. Mable Bedard preceded her in death. Peace be unto her memory.
Memorial services were at the Warren Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins, Colorado, 3:00 p. m., Saturday, July 23, 1966, with the Rev. A. P. Gaines officiating Edward Anderson was soloist. Honorary escorts were: Ralph Redmond, Paul Burroughs, Robert Gibson, Kenneth Bedard, Jr., Jack Carmacfc and Raymond Barmington.
Services were held at the Methodist church, Scandia on Monday, July 25 at 2:30 p. m. with the Rev. Lee Dickey officiating. Two favorite hymns were sung by Mrs. Loren Isaacson, and Mrs. Everett Robinson, accompanied by Mrs. Esther Johnson. Casketbearers were Max Muth, Vernon Erickson, Norman Sankey, Paul Kuchera, Don Sankey, and Ron Janasek. Interment in Riverview cemetery, Scandia. Local arrangements were In charge of Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home, 'Scandia.
